Can I get a plate for my Horse Trailer?
I bought a horse trailer from someone who did not have a title for it. He only had a bill of sale which stated the year and make, but no VIN#. I got the trailer weighed so now I have a weigh slip. Can I get the trailer plated with just a bill of sale (no vin) and a weigh slip?

The laws governing and defining what, if any, processes may be required are entirely dependent upon the state where you live. If your state requires individual licenses for trailers of the type you’re describing and the trailer has no VIN number, most states do have procedures for creating titles for what it would probably consider a “kit” or “project” vehicle so any required insurance and registration can be obtained.
Your state’s motor vehicle agency would be the appropriate resource to contact for further specific information.
